About this Event

Join us to help maintain a local community garden just walking distance from UCL East! Gainsborough Bridge Gardens is a simple idea with a slightly radical implication: Green space shouldn’t be something you merely pass through, it should be something you can shape, share, and grow with your own hands. This project is about turning a patch of public land into a living, local commons. A place where food, nature, skills, and neighbourliness can take root. Big Help Outs are fun one-off volunteering opportunities that involve a big group. It's all about small actions creating big change when we work together. At our events, you’ll always find friendly student and staff faces to make sure you feel welcome and supported. Why Join In? Make a visible impact: Help transform a local community space, creating a more welcoming environment for children, families, older people and the wider community. Meet new people: Spend the day with fellow UCL students in a friendly, relaxed environment while giving back together. Try volunteering with no long-term commitment: Gain hands-on volunteering experience, learn ab…
