About this Event
The first of four Inside the Industry talks this term.
Bharat Chudasama spent years in Pricing and Market Access at GSK and Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the part of the industry that decides what a medicine is worth and how it reaches the people who need it. He has since left pharma to build a company of his own, and co-founded Hope & Glory, an organic speciality tea company in Hertfordshire.
The talk covers what a science degree opens up beyond the bench, why leaving pharma made sense, and what carries over from drug commercialisation into building something from nothing.
It is a useful one for anyone weighing up whether research is the only route out of a biochemical engineering or life sciences degree. Commercial roles in pharma recruit heavily from these courses and are rarely mentioned on them.
Free and open to all, whether or not anyone has joined the society. No membership needed.
When:
Monday 12 October, 6pm
Where:
Room 675, UCL Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way
