Learn new mending skills and repair your precious items for free with the help of UCL's friendly volunteers and expert fixers. Calling all repair and reuse enthusiasts! The UCL Repair Café is back at the Institute of Making in Stratford, UCL East, Marshgate Building. This event is free and open to all. Bring along your holey socks, glitchy electronic devices, cracked ceramics, damaged household items and more, and learn valuable repair skills with expert fixers from the UCL community. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event - even if you have nothing to repair and just want to come and ask repair-based questions over some tea and biscuits with our community of menders. Then drop in for an in-person guide to fixing textiles with the Institute of Making team! We’ll provide the materials, thread, needles and pins needed for you to patch, sew or darn new life into your beloved clothes, accessories, trainers and other textile items. (Drop in) General Repair Visit the General Repair area with all of your miscellaneous belongings, and meet UCL MechSpace technicians who are ready to assist and mend anything, from small pieces of furniture to spectacles and umbrellas.
